Leeds United striker Eddie Nketiah has posted an update on social media, after scoring his first goal at Elland Road last night.
The 20-year-old scored the winner just four minutes after coming off the bench for his home debut to give Leeds a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Brentford.
The win saw Leeds maintain their unbeaten start to the season and return to the top of the Championship table on goal difference.
Nketiah joined Leeds on a season-long loan from Arsenal on transfer deadline day and scored on his debut against Salford City in the Carabao Cup last week.
The striker had to settle for a place on the bench for the 2-0 win at Wigan Athletic in the Championship at the weekend but made a big impact on his debut in the competition last night.
After the game, Nketiah sent a message to Leeds fans on his personal Instagram account.
The striker wrote: “Anyone call for a goal? Big 3 points at Elland Road tonight, Glory be to God.”
Leeds have now equalled last season’s impressive start of ten points from their opening four matches and will be hoping to continue their momentum against Stoke City at the weekend.
